Engine
The standard engine for the Ram 2500 is a 6.4-liter V-8 that generates 410 horsepower and is backed up by 429 pound-feet of torque. You can also choose to upgrade to a turbo 6.7-liter V-6 diesel engine that generates 370 horsepower and puts out a whopping 850 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is optional on most trims, though it is standard on the Power Wagon.
Performance
The Ram 2500 offers outstanding acceleration, handling, and braking power for its size. It accelerates from zero to 60 in just over eight seconds, which is quite respectable among full-size pickups.
