The 2025 Ram 1500 and the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 are both pickup trucks with upscale interiors and powerful engine lineups. Both are ready for work and play, but which one comes out on top overall? Here's what you need to know.


Power

Power for the Ram 1500 starts with a 3.6-liter V-6 that puts out 269 horsepower, but you can also get it with a turbo six-cylinder with 420 horsepower. A high-output version of this same engine delivers 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque.

The Sierra 1500 starts with a 3-liter turbo four-cylinder with 305 horsepower, and from there, you can get it with a 5.3-liter diesel with 355 horsepower. The strongest engine for the Sierra is a 420 horsepower V-8.





The Upscale, Feature-Filled Cabin

You can get the Ram 1500 with just the basics in the entry-level Tradesman, but the higher trims offer all kinds of extras, such as premium leather upholstery, ventilated front and rear seats, heated front and rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.

The Sierra 1500 also has a lineup that ranges from just the basics to more upscale. The Denali offers ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a power-sliding rear window.





Safety Features

Whether you choose the Ram or the GMC, you'll get a full suite of advanced safety features. Systems such as forward collision warning, automatic braking, and lane keep assist come standard. However, the Ram offers more standard safety with parking sensors and a blind-spot warning system.
