Tucked away at 802 Washington S, Studebaker’s Pizza has mastered the art of perfecting pizza. This venue has a history, and the venue looks it, but don’t let its age fool you. Its impeccably clean restrooms and interior are a testament to the care and attention to detail they bestow upon every facet of their business: including the part where they make pizza. One of the standouts on their menu is the chicken bacon pizza with white sauce. You also really have to try the cheese bread.
Boasting a range of tantalizing flavors, each pizza has a crisp yet supple crust, generously smothered with rich, flavorsome sauce, and crowned with perfectly melted cheese and the freshest of toppings. Their subs, too, are the stuff of legends. When they say their subs are “huge”, they aren’t exaggerating – a 6″ sub here stretches out to nearly a foot. The Italian and Club subs are our favorites.

Opening its doors from Tuesday to Saturday and staying up until 9 PM on most days, with a slightly extended schedule on Fridays, Studebaker’s is more than just a pizzeria: it’s a community experience and the finest pizza in the area.
Jolara Memory Lanes
When you think of bowling alleys, the first image that probably comes to mind isn’t pizza, and many bowling alleys offer mediocre food at best. But in Montpelier’s Jolara Memory Lanes at 629 N 4th St, not only do you get to enjoy a fantastic game of bowling, but you’re also treated to some of the most scrumptious pizzas in town.
The lanes are impeccably maintained, and obviously, bowling is very popular here. But the real surprise for many is their kitchen, which turns out pizza so good that they have to deliver, and many of us go there just for a meal. The pizzas here boast a perfectly baked thin crust, topped generously, and their buffalo chicken wings have a fan following. Their cheesy fries are another crowd-pleaser.

Open most days of the week from 4 to 9 PM, and stretching till 11 PM on Fridays, Jolara offers both locals and visitors an exceptional bowling experience.
